We are looking for a dynamic and highly competent Manager – Finance & Accounts who will play a critical role in strengthening the company’s financial systems, compliance framework, and strategic financial management.

Job Description: Manager – Finance & Accounts

Position Overview

The Manager – Finance & Accounts will be responsible for overseeing the organization’s financial management, accounting operations, statutory compliance, and financial reporting. The role requires strong expertise in accounting laws, financial regulations, taxation, and corporate finance.

The ideal candidate should be analytical, detail-oriented, and capable of handling complex financial operations while ensuring full compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

1. Financial Management & Accounting

  • Manage and supervise day-to-day accounting operations including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll accounting, and bank reconciliations.

  • Ensure accurate and timely preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.

  • Maintain strong financial controls and accounting procedures across the organization.

  • Monitor company cash flow, working capital, and financial performance.

  • Support management in financial planning and strategic decision-making.


2. Statutory Compliance & Regulatory Requirements

  • Ensure full compliance with Indian Accounting Standards (Ind AS), Companies Act, Income Tax Act, and GST regulations.

  • Manage statutory filings including GST returns, TDS returns, income tax filings, and other regulatory submissions.

  • Liaise with statutory auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory authorities.

  • Ensure timely completion of internal audits, statutory audits, and compliance audits.


3. Budgeting & Financial Planning

  • Prepare and monitor annual budgets, forecasts, and financial projections.

  • Analyze financial performance against budgets and recommend corrective actions.

  • Support business heads with financial insights for cost optimization and profitability improvement.

4. Cost Control & Financial Analysis

  • Develop and implement effective cost control mechanisms across operations including farm operations, sales, and processing units.

  • Conduct detailed financial analysis, variance analysis, and profitability analysis.

  • Provide management with insights on cost efficiency, revenue growth, and margin improvement.

5. Internal Controls & Process Improvement

  • Establish and strengthen internal financial controls and accounting processes.

  • Identify process gaps and recommend improvements for financial efficiency.

  • Implement best practices in financial management and reporting.

6. Team Coordination & Stakeholder Management

  • Coordinate with operations, HR, procurement, and sales teams for financial data and planning.

  • Guide and mentor the finance and accounts team to ensure smooth operations.

  • Present financial insights and reports to senior management.


Required Skills & Qualification

Education:

  • MBA (Finance) with CA (Chartered Accountant) qualification preferred.

Age:

  • Below 30 years

Experience:

  • 3–6 years of relevant experience in finance and accounting functions.

  • Experience in manufacturing, food processing, FMCG, or agri-based industries will be an added advantage.

Required Skills & Competencies

  • Strong knowledge of Accounting Laws, Financial Regulations, and Taxation Rules.

  • Expertise in GST, TDS, Income Tax, and statutory compliance.

  • Proficiency in financial reporting and accounting systems (ERP / Tally / SAP or similar).

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Strong communication and leadership abilities.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and growth-oriented environment.

Language Requirement

  • Fluency in Odia (Odiya) is mandatory.

  • Good communication skills in English and Hindi will be an advantage.

Compensation
