Job Summary:
Ovo Farm Pvt. Ltd. is a fast-growing integrated egg processing and food ingredient company with advanced fulfilment and processing infrastructure. Our operations include high-capacity egg grading, packing, storage, and distribution systems, ensuring superior quality standards across the supply chain.
Our Fulfilment Center is a 35,000 sq. ft. facility equipped with:
Egg Grading Machines with capacities of 40,000 and 80,000 eggs per hour
Automated Packing Material Machines
Sticker/Labeling Machines
Dedicated Egg Storage and Dispatch Areas
Position Overview
The Quality Control Executive will be responsible for monitoring and maintaining quality standards across egg grading, packing, storage, and dispatch operations. The role also requires active involvement in quality audits, compliance systems, and documentation aligned with ISO and food safety standards.
The ideal candidate should have hands-on QC experience along with exposure to audit systems and compliance frameworks.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Quality Inspection & Monitoring
Conduct real-time quality checks during egg grading, packing, and dispatch processes.
Ensure proper segregation of A-grade, B-grade, and rejected eggs.
Monitor quality parameters such as:
Shell strength
Cleanliness
Size/weight grading
Crack detection
2. Machine Line Quality Control
Monitor operations of:
Egg grading machines (40,000 & 80,000 capacity/hour)
Packing machines
Sticker/labeling machines
Ensure machines operate within defined quality parameters.
Coordinate with maintenance team to address quality deviations.
3. Packing & Dispatch Quality
Ensure correct packing materials, labeling, and batch coding.
Verify customer-specific packing standards.
Ensure damage-free dispatches with proper quality checks.
4. Storage Quality Management
Monitor egg storage conditions, hygiene, and stacking practices.
Ensure adherence to FIFO / FEFO principles.
Prevent breakage, contamination, and quality deterioration.
5. Documentation & Compliance
Maintain QC records, inspection reports, and logs.
Ensure compliance with:
FSSAI guidelines
Internal SOPs
Customer quality requirements
Support internal and external quality audits.
6. ISO Audits & Quality Systems (Mandatory Exposure)
Actively participate in ISO audits and compliance processes.
Maintain and update documentation required for ISO certifications.
Ensure implementation and adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs) aligned with ISO frameworks.
Candidate must have exposure to one or more of the following ISO standards:
ISO 22000 – Food Safety Management System
ISO 9001 – Quality Management System
ISO 14001 – Environmental Management System
ISO 45001 – Occupational Health & Safety
Examples of expected audit exposure:
Participation in internal audits and external certification audits
Handling audit documentation, checklists, and compliance records
Supporting corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) post audit
Coordinating with auditors during plant inspections and process reviews
7. Process Improvement
Identify quality gaps and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
Improve quality processes to reduce rejection and wastage.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives.
8. Coordination & Team Support
Coordinate with operations, dispatch, and maintenance teams.
Train shop-floor staff on quality standards and handling practices.
Qualification and Eligibility
Education (Mandatory – QC Relevant):
B.Sc / M.Sc in:
Food Technology
Food Science
Microbiology
Dairy Technology
Agriculture / Poultry Science
Experience Requirement
Minimum 3+ years of experience in Quality Control
Experience in:
Food Processing / FMCG / Agri-based industries
Warehouse / Fulfilment operations preferred
Hands-on experience in ISO audits and quality systems is mandatory
Required Skills & Competencies
Strong knowledge of quality control and food safety standards
Working knowledge of ISO systems and audit processes
Practical exposure to grading, sorting, and packaging operations
Good documentation and reporting skills
Basic knowledge of Excel and reporting tools
